Merry early Christmas

Merry early Christmas!

It's Saturday the 23rd and I've come bearing updates! The first of many updates...I believe. For starters, I've updated the Episode guide with information about Tom and Jerry Kids. Now, it's not as accurate as most of the guide, but at least I have something up to show after all these years of looking for some information. I'll also be updating the guide with Tom and Jerry tales information as well.

Amongst the episode guide update, I've added a new video clip. It is a Milk Ad.

On a more somber note, a co-worker sent me this link to an editorial comic that pays homage to Joe Barbera. You can find it here. (It's the December 15, 2006 post)

I should have some more updates throughout this weekend so keep your eyes open.

the countdown to christmas

Christmas is nearly upon us and as such I will have some time to devote to some updates on the site. I have some images that I will be putting up as well as a video clip. So look for it coming around the 25th of this month. In the meantime, I have the translation of "Tom and Chérie" on the Translation page. I don't think that there are any more Tom and Jerry cartoons that have non-English speaking parts in them. So if you care to know what Nibbles/Tuffy are saying in the Mousketeer cartoons, head over to the Translations page.

The Tales of Tom and Jerry

Posted: December 12, 2006

It's the 12th of December and I have just finished watching the Tom and Jerry Tales DVD. I must confess that I've found those toons to be quite enjoyable. Now, there is no way Tom and Jerry Tales can get close to the magic of the Original runs, but that's not to say that this current version is utterly awful. I'll get into a little more detail when I write a review for it. :-] Check it out for yourselves, Tom and Jerry Tales is a fun watch.

..I still prefer the originals though :-p

I hope to have a decent update to the site before the year is out. I want to add more to the episode guide and put up a few more images. So keep your eyes open for it.

ah sweet music

It's the morning of December 11. A week ago I ordered Tom and Jerry and Tex Avery Too Volume 1 CD and I have to say that if you are a fan of the Tom and Jerry music you must get this. Basically, this CD has 25 tracks of the music used for the episodes. So you are actually listening just the musical score of the entire episode sans sound effects and voices (unless there is vocal music). And yes, Pecos Pest is on the CD in all it's stuttering glory ( a yodel goes in there somewhere).

So go here and get yourself a copy: Tom and Jerry & Tex Avery Too! Vol. 1: The 1950s

Another update on the 3rd of December! Actually this is great news! Neil just sent me an email about Scott Bradley's music on CD! This is something that all of us have been salivating for for many a year! Here are the link to the article and where to buy:
