WHAT HAS HAPPENED AT TOM AND JERRY ONLINE IN THE PAST
Welcome to the News Archive. This is a place where I bore you to death with all the past news from the site :-] There are some links in here that may be out dated and useless, but that doesn't mean that all of them are broken. There are some useful info in this archive which you may want to check out. I've set things up so that all the news of that year is displayed for your viewing/reading pleasure.

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Seasons Greetings! Happy New Year!
POSTED: December 19, 2007
December 19! 6 days till Christmas! YAY!I've been bogged down with a lot of stuff recently and haven't had time to focus on this site. But now that my schedule has cleared and become a bit more manageable, I can devote more time to some things that I've had in the back of my mind. That being a redesign of the site.
Here's what I had in mind:
- new layout
- update the episode guides
- redo the music section to have more information
- more information on those involved with the making of Tom and Jerry
- finally getting to those pesky DVD reviews
I did not mention the forums as I'm still debating them.
The reason I've decided to mention this is that I'm wondering if you guys have any suggestions. What would you like to see added to this site? Send me an email with your suggestions, but please refrain from suggesting more imagery or links to episodes or anything that would get this site shut down by WB lawyers. :-]

It's cold and dark outside....it's the morning of October 12.I just found some news about the episode, from the Chuck Jones years, "The Mouse from H.U.N.G.E.R.". It is to be included in the DVD box set of "Man from U.N.C.L.E." that is being released by WB. Now, I know that this is more news about the "Man from U.N.C.L.E.", but hey I like the show and "The Mouse from H.U.N.G.E.R." is one of my favorites.
If you are interested, the DVD set is a bit pricey but you get your money's worth, you can find it here: TimeLife

September 26th is the day and it's rainy outside.I was able to watch about an hours worth of Tom and Jerry: Spotlight 3. It's great how I've seen these toons numerous times and I know what's going to happen but I still laugh out loud. There is some controversy surrounding this release (as with all the previous Spotlight Collections). There are 2 cartoons left out as previous stated in a news post, and "His Mouse Friday" is edited. Speaking of "His Mouse Friday", the audio track is NOT muted! This surprised me! I'd never heard the audio track for this cartoon and I was expecting that there would been none on this release as well. Ironically, that this cartoon was included and not deemed as "too "controversial" to be seen by the general public".
As for some tidbit news about this release I give you these forum links:

Worldwide DVD ForumsI know it's a bit early for Christmas, but I just found this Christmas ornament:
Speaking of Christmas...this DVD came out of nowhere. Releasing October 2:

So it's the second day of Autumn and it's 92F outside. Anyway, I've got my Spotlight Vol3 DVD last week and I've not yet watched it, but I hope that I can this week. Things are a bit busy this week.Aside from that, a fellow Tom and Jerry sent me this link to an interesting article featuring a discussion with Frank Molieri, the producer of the current Tom and Jerry show on Kids WB.
POSTED: September 11, 2007
It's September 11.I have some DVD news that is sad and true to form with the previous Spotlight releases. It seems that WHV blows it again with the Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection. I'm really sick of Tom and Jerry being pissed on with every release of the Spotlight Collection....truly irritating! Anyway, according to TV shows on DVD, there are 2 cartoons that are not included on Tom and Jerry: Spotlight Collection Vol. 3. Those cartoons not included are: "Mouse Cleaning" and "Casanova Cat". I also got an email from some that states that "His Mouse Friday" is edited, as well.
Granted this is still recent news and this is all I know. When I find out more I'll let you guys know. I'm debating whether or not to cancel my order for the DVD till I hear more about the release.
*sigh*

So it's the 27th and it's the day after yesterday's update. I just wanted to let you guys know that the site I mentioned on the 25th of August, Kids Partyshop, now has shipping to the US as an option.3 updates in as many days? Unprecedented!
POSTED: August 26, 2007
It's the last Sunday of August and I have for you a new video clip courtesy of a fellow Tom and Jerry fan. You can find it at the bottom of the Video Clips page. It is the intro to the 1960's Tom and Jerry which aired on TV. The video has 2 openings and 2 bumpers (clips they show for commercial breaks). I've also added a couple links to the shop Amazon page...I've found that they are selling Tom and Jerry Plushies! On a side note. I've been thinking of a redesign for the site. I'm still in the planning stages for that. It might be something that will be implemented later in the year. I want to make something really cool, but I also want to pack this site with a lot more information. One of the main sections I want to update is the Music section. That section is sorely lacking. Music has been a major part in Tom and Jerry cartoons and I've not given the music section the love it deserves. Mostly because it's a daunting task to do the research :-] I've had people send me music information over the years and I still have that info. I'm going to go through them and see how I can best integrate it in to the site. If anyone has any knowledge of the music in Tom and Jerry or of the crew members involved in the cartoons and is will to share the information with me and the rest of the Tom and Jerry fans around the globe, by all means, email me!

Ah, August is winding down. I'll be doing a few updates here in the next few days (hopefully). I got a couple things I want to put up. One is a video! For those that are looking for Tom and Jerry party Supplies, I was emailed the other day by Graham about a site that sells them. You can find them here: Kids Partyshop. This site is out of the UK and they deliver to the UK and selected European countries but not to the USA at present (though they are working on it).

ah the summer solstice (June 21) and it brings good tidings for all those people looking for Tom and Jerry bedding! I found this bedding set on eBay: Tom and Jerry Bedding
POSTED: June 12, 2007
OK, I'll admit it, I've neglected this site. It is Jun 12 and I confess that I've not put in much effort toward this site in the last couple of months. I realize this. I'm in the planning stages of improving that. Mostly, it involves not being so busy. :-] I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks to do some updates. I've got some new images that I'd like to put up and I have some DVD reviews to add. I've also been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to improve the music section of this site. Music is such a part of these cartoons, thanks to the brilliance of Scott Bradley, that I feel the section needs a bit of a "shot in the arm". Plus, I need to update the episode list to include the new Tom and Jerry Tales cartoons. One of the things that has get me busy is that fact that my wife is trying to build up a freelance illustration business. In the last few months she's been working like mad illustrating for a book series called Pirate School. If you are interested:

POSTED: May 13, 2007
Happy Mother's Day!Sorry for that lack of anything on this site. I've been really busy. I've got some planned updates that I'd like to implement, but I've not found the time. I'm hoping that during the Memorial Day weekend I can do some updates here.

Today is the day after the 4th and I need to make a correction. The flash game that was mentioned yesterday can be found here: Tom's Trap-o-matic. This is the official link to the game on Cartoon Network's site. Thanks Yamin for correcting my error.
POSTED: April 04, 2007
Ah, April 4th...it's a Wednesday...and if you think about its...it's a 404 day. Yeah, I'm reaching on that one. Anyway, a friend of mine sent me this link the other day Tom's Trap-o-matic. It's a flash game where your mission is to build a mousetrap to help Tom catch the Jerry. It's a very neat game.

Ok, so it's been a while since I've made any updates to Tom and Jerry. I admit, it's mostly out of laziness and distractions. I've been spending a lot of time on the design front for different web/personal projects. I have a long list of updates that I want to do, so hopefully I can get to work on those soon.I got an email the other day, apparently, the WB is working a new Direct To Video Tom and Jerry cartoon entitled, "Tom and Jerry: The Mousecracker". I saw a small blurb in a blog entry from last August stating that it was near completion. The email that I got mentioned that they are working on the music as I type this. I've not been able to find more information on this and amazon.com doesn't have a listing. Send me an email if you have any information on this.

Happy Monday the 19th of March!'Tis an odd for me, personally, but I won't bore you with details since it has nothing to do with Tom and Jerry. However, what does have to do with Tom and Jerry is this: there is an article in the "BBC Music Magazine" (March 2007) about the great Scott Bradley. It is a most excellent read and it is written by a contributer to this site, Peter Morris. Peter wrote the Scott Bradley bio page on this site that is located here: Scott Bradley. Head on out and get yourself a copy of March 2007 BBC Music Magazine. Don't ask me where, since I live in the US and don't know such things. :-]

I had some time this post-Saint Patrick's Day to do a small update to the translation page. I've added the lyrics to "A Lu Et' ah" and their English translation. Many thanks to Steven for the translation!

Hello on the Friday the 9th!There isn't much going on here recently due to me being rather busy. I just haven't had the time to do devote to the site. I haven't forgotten about this, but real life does get in the way of things.
In other news, there is a new DVD coming out in May...it's volume 2 of Tom and Jerry Tales:
I have really enjoyed the first DVD. The new cartoons are not that bad.

It's Valentines Day and cupid dumped 2 feet of snow on us and I'm kicking myself for not mentioning this sooner. I got an email earlier this month in regards to the "Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection: vol. 1" DVD replacements:
Also today, Warner has just released an official statement about their Tom & Jerry Spotlight Collection: Volume 1 replacement program. Here's the details....Thanks, Terry, for letting us know."Previously, Warner Home Video had advised consumers who purchased Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection: Volume 1 DVD that certain episodes on Disc 1 had an alternate picture/audio track. Warner Home Video offered to replace Disc 1 with a disc that had the original picture/audio track, which some consumers requested. Those consumers were inadvertently sent an incorrect replacement disc.
Consumers who recently received the incorrect replacement disc, and any other consumers who still wish to have Disc 1 replaced with the original picture/audio track, should contact Warner Home Video at 1-800-553-6937 so that a self-addressed stamped envelope can be sent to you for return of your current disc. Please note that the replacement disc will be sent to you in approximately 4-6 weeks."

It is the afternoon of January 28th and not much has been happening on the site since Christmas, but I thought I'd just say that I've been really busy lately and haven't been able to devote any time to some updates to Tom and Jerry Online. Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to add some things to the site.
